Jack was a gentle, loving, kind soul. He was a dinosaur expert and had a streak of comedic flair that was sure to make everyone around him smile.
I knew the moment he was born that our lives would never be the same. For the first time, I felt vulnerable and raw and terrified, knowing that there was now something in my life that had the ability to break me, should anything happen to my baby.
Nearly 4 years later, on October 29, 2018, we received the diagnosis that did just that — wrecked our family to our absolute core.
Throughout Jack’s entire battle, we were in awe at the strength, resilience, and bravery he demonstrated. At just 4 years old, Jack should have had a long and prosperous life ahead of him. Instead, we lost our precious boy on December 5, 2020. In the short time we were blessed with his physical presence, Jack taught us so much about faith and trust. We miss him dearly.
