Anthony James Pappalas, middle son to Katie Gaskin, brother to Luke and Daniel, courageously fought against DIPG for 19 months. Anthony was diagnosed when he was 5 years old. He managed to tackle each day of his epic battle with enormous amounts of bravery, strength, and grace. He was so very brave throughout his fight, armored with his heart melting smile and infectious laugh. Throughout this incredible journey Anthony managed to bring his family even closer together and he managed to inspire an entire community of friends, extended family, and strangers. He truly was one of God’s very best. He will be sorely missed but never forgotten. Anthony’s Avengers will continue to fight the evil DIPG monster in his honor.
