Written by Mariah’s mother

Mariah came into our lives and changed our world. She brought us sunlight and happiness. Mariah always wanted to help those around her, and at 3 years old, had compassion and empathy for those in need. She loved Bubble Guppies, pizza, mac and cheese, Yo Gabba Gabba, and any Disney show. She loved her dogs and cuddles with her daddy. Mariah was older than her years and changed the world around her to a better place. Mariah’s mom and dad tried for her for 16 years. Finally, they were able to adopt Mariah, and she was their world.

At two and a half, Mariah went into the local ER with headaches. She was diagnosed with DIPG and given 9 months to live. Mariah never felt bad for herself and was always so strong and positive while fighting this losing battle. She passed April 7, 2014. Three months after her passing, her daddy was diagnosed with leukemia. We miss her everyday.
