Join us for an unforgettable evening at Nationals Park, hosted by the ChadTough Defeat DIPG Foundation. Dream Big at Nats Park is a high-end fundraising event filled with fun, activities, and heartfelt moments as we come together to honor Michael Mosier, Chad Carr, and all the children impacted by DIPG in the past and present. This special night includes a strolling dinner, access to batting cages, and other interactive experiences that embrace the spirit of play. Guests will enjoy dancing, a program with a live auction, and plenty of surprises along the way. The evening promises to inspire as we raise funds for critical research, while recognizing the children and families who have faced this terrible disease. Be a part of this powerful event and help us continue the fight to Defeat DIPG.

Michael & Chad Loved Sports

This event is dedicated to the memory of Michael Mosier, a young boy with a boundless passion for baseball and a dream to play in the MLB, specifically for the Nationals. Michael’s love for the game inspired us to rally at this iconic stadium and create an evening of celebration and purpose.

But the fight against DIPG is a shared mission, and the impact of this event resonates far beyond the Mosier family. Chad Carr, a courageous young boy with a deep connection to University of Michigan athletics and the Detroit Tigers, also battled DIPG with a strength and resilience that moved a community to action.

Michael and Chad’s fight gave rise to the ChadTough Defeat DIPG Foundation, which has become a beacon of hope for families and researchers nationwide. Their stories are just two among many – we now are fueled by over 40 Family Partners who stand with us in our mission. All of these kids who have faced this disease remind us of what it means to “Dream Big.” Whether on the baseball field or in the hearts of those who loved them, their dreams fuel our determination to make a difference.

Co-Chairs

Kate & Jim Garland

Kate and Jim Garland have been close family friends with the Mosiers for more than 20 years and were blessed to know and love Michael for his entire life. They held Michael in the hospital on the day he was born.  Their son James was born three months apart from Michael; they grew up playing baseball and basketball together and got into all sorts of trouble at family barbecues.  They delighted in Michael’s infectious laugh, his boundless enthusiasm, and the twinkle in his big, beautiful eyes.  As he fought DIPG, they marveled at his courage, strength, and grace as he battled bravely to the end.  Michael touched their lives profoundly and are so proud to honor his memory by chairing Dream Big at Nats Park to Defeat DIPG.
