The Superhero Sprint & 6K race was created in honor of Michael Mosier, who battled DIPG for 8.5 months before passing away in May 2015. This year, 2025, will be the 10th annual event to honor Michael and all the superheroes that we have lost to DIPG, are currently fighting, or will be diagnosed in the future. This race is hosted virtually every year in May during Brain Tumor Awareness Month. You can join wherever you are and participate in anyway you desire — walk, run, bike, or whatever you want! The best part is you can do it alone or gather a group of people who enjoy raising funds for DIPG together!

September 2025
RunTough 5K and 1M Fun Run
Participate in Michigan, Illinois, Ohio, or virtually from anywhere, anytime in September!
“RunTough for ChadTough” originated in 2014 to support the Carr family just weeks after Chad Carr was diagnosed with DIPG. RunTough is held every September in honor of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month and to celebrate Chad’s birthday. With additional efforts in honor of Owen Petrzelka in the Chicago area and Colt DelVerne in Ohio, it’s easier than ever to make a real difference in the fight to #DefeatDIPG. To date, RunTough has raised over $2.5 million to support the foundation’s mission, inspired more than 18,000 registrants, and is still going strong!
