Antoinette Smith

January 20, 2010 – October 1, 2020

My SuperGirl had been battling DIPG for 19 months. She was diagnosed 12/1/18, a month before her 9th birthday. She is 1 of 6 children and she has always been the boss. She was a straight A student and placed into the gifted program at school with a 98%.

She loved Princess Jasmine and SuperGirl, her favorite color was purple and her favorite singers were Rhianna and Taylor Swift.

This diagnosis is not fair. Her body started to break down and she was strong through it all. She is the strongest person I know.

Submitted by Antoinette’s mother, Natosha Gumbs.
