March Madness is back and Will’s family is hosting the Second Annual Team WillieSmac March Madness Challenge in honor of Will and to help defeat DIPG. You can access the Team WillieSmac bracket in the CBS Sports app by clicking on and logging in through the following below until March 18th 2025.

Entrance fee: $50
1st place: 25% of the pot
Last place: gets their money back

A friend of the DelVerne’s Family hosted a Pampered Chef party. A portion of the proceeds was donated to the ChadTough Defeat DIPG Foundation.

Eugenio’s sisters sold handmade bracelets to raise money for the ChadTough Defeat DIPG Foundation.
Clarkston Community Schools (CCS) holds an annual “Month of Giving” event, with the most recent iteration taking place in February 2025. This event includes various fundraising activities to support local charities and connect with the community, such as a pie-in-the-face for charity event where students purchase tickets to have their classmates pied.
This Golf outing is organized in memory of Eugenio Santin by Eugenio’s family. All proceeds go towards the ChadTough Defeat DIPG Foundation.
Please join the University of Michigan’s Polish Student Association in our annual Wolverine Charity Ball! The event includes dinner, a dance floor + DJ (with Polish music of course), silent auction and a performance by Polanie Song & Dance Ensemble of Detroit. This year, proceeds from this event are going to ChadTough Defeat DIPG Foundation!
Wolvball will be taking place Saturday, February 15th, from 7-11pm at Weber’s Restaurant and Hotel Grand Ballroom.

This is the first ever Love Like Kenzie event! Kenzie Wrenn Scoggins was an amazing little girl, who bravely fought DIPG, the most deadly childhood cancer for 9 months. She was know for her laugh, her sass, and her amazing heart. Kenzie’s brain was donated to Stanford University and is continuing to further research to help fight for a cure.
Join us for our Karaoke event in memory of Kenzie Scoggins, on February 8th 2025 from 6:00-10:00pm at Thirsty Skull Brewing in Siler City, NC. All funds go to the ChadTough Defeat DIPG Foundation through LoveLikeKenzie in Kenzie’s honor. The ChadTough Defeat DIPG Foundation is a leader in funding research for DIPG, even supporting Kenzie’s brain donation at Stanford University. Please come out and have a good time while raising funds in Kenzie’s honor. One day we could have a cure!
Gretchen Weng passed away from Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma (DIPG) in October of 2023. As her very close friends, we hoped to raise awareness and donate money to fund DIPG research and support patients. Every donation counts!
Ben Schafer was diagnosed with a pediatric brain tumor in 2024. Within their business, his family decided to raise money by creating a Brain Tumor Awareness Christmas Tree for a program called Festival of Trees. Whatever it sold for, Ben’s family matched it and send a donation to the ChadTough Defeat DIPG Foundation . The Schafer family is honored to give this from their family to ours, because our Foundation has touched their hearts.
The ChadTough Club hosted their first fundraiser of many: a bake sale in the cafeteria during lunch. They worked to raise money for everyone whose lives have been impacted by DIPG.

The Ann Arbor Turkey Trot is a morning full of fun before your big Thanksgiving Day feast! You will see crazy outfits and costumes, and people of all ages running. There are fun age group awards, photos with “Turkey Tom” and Santa, and even hot cocoa and cookies at the finish line! This is a great way to kick off the holiday season while raising funds for ChadTough. We are so grateful for the continued partnership with our friends at the Ann Arbor Turkey Trot! Lilian’s dance family at Prestige Dance Institute is selling “Live Like Lilian, Love Like Every” bracelets for $5 with all proceeds coming to CTDD.
This year’s fall ladies’ event will have a new twist! Join us for cocktails and appetizers while getting a head start on your holiday shopping at pop-up versions of some of our favorite boutiques! A sit-down lunch program will follow, along with a final chance to “sip and shop” afterward.
Special guest is Gail Disner is The Southern Gail, an NFL wife and lover of all things home design, who uses her website (thesoutherngail.com) and social media presence to inspire others, teach DIY skills, and provide a resource for all things home design and décor.
The GFWC Miami Springs Woman’s Club presented a $6,000 donation to two organizations dedicated to fighting childhood cancer, ChadTough Defeat DIPG Foundation, and SebastianStrong Foundation.
These funds were generated during the Club’s 2024 Jail & Bail for Charity, an annual event that cleverly “arrests” community members for doing good and challenges them to raise “bail” money to secure their release. The proceeds not only support the Club’s many initiatives but also specifically channel hope and resources into the battle against pediatric cancer.

ChadTough’s Family Partner, the Klein family is organizing a softball tournament and home run derby to honor their son Noah and raise funds for game-changing childhood brain cancer research through the ChadTough Defeat DIPG Foundation.
Tess Richards’ art teacher also owns a business that sells nail polish. She created 2 colors in Tess’s honor that will be sold in the month of October. All proceeds will go to the ChadTough Defeat DIPG Foundation.
The Hauppauge Girls’ Varsity soccer team organized a fundraiser that involved all teams in their school soccer program and several other schools in Suffolk County. The soccer team donated part of the money raised to the ChadTough Defeat DIPG Foundation in memory of Callie Montera (daughter of HS guidance counselor Danielle Montera) and Andy Hazin, an elementary student in our district who recently lost his battle.
Join us for a kid-friendly Golf Challenge playing nine holes on a par three course. No previous golfing experience is necessary! Teams will compete in unique challenges, puzzles, and games at each hole. Teams will consist of two players (one adult and one child), with two teams per hole. All green fees, cart rentals and clubs (if needed) are included in the registration fees. You only need to bring a big smile, and a desire to affect others positively.
All proceeds benefit The Malin Reed Opitz Memorial Fund to support various non-profits that were near and dear to Malin’s heart. The largest allocation will be to the ChadTough Defeat DIPG Foundation to fund research to find a cure for this devastating disease that Malin bravely battled for 8 months.
Ryan McGuire’s 2024 GFC Golf Marathon proceeds in memory of his friend, Danny Nickerson, who died of DIPG when the boys were in kindergarten. In 2015, at age 6, Ryan fist played 100 holes of golf in one day in honor of his friend Danny and has done so every year since. The ChadTough Defeat DIPG Foundation is this year’s beneficiary.
